Version 2082 is available for download. When you use version 2081 you can use the Tools, Update menu to perform the update.

The update is only available as a full setup. In 2082 you will find a lot of changes. An important change is that the DAT files are in their own sub folder.
During installation you can chose where to install the SAMPLE files.
Instead of installing into the Program Files Folder the default is a user writable folder like c:\mcs\basavr2082

The settings file is also stored in the application folder. This way you can have different versions with their own settings file.

The terminal emulator has been replaced. This is needed because of windows 10 security features not available in 32 bit ocx.
The component is still installed because some programmers require this. In the 64 bit version these old programmers will be phased out.

you can view all changes in the 'what is new in 2082' in the help.

I recommend to install in a new folder so you can use old and new versions.

problems should be reported to support.

And lastly : thanks to all the beta testers for testing

(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.8.2 )

Hello,
I installed the new version Very Happy and unfortunately I found the first bug.
The function "Allow multiple interfaces" does not work. I can not open several single Bascom AVR programs.[/img]

Thank, very nice.

I've just recompiled one of my old programs (written for 2.0.7.4) and it worked first time without any modifications.

The only Problem I've found is when I try and open the history.txt file I get the following error "File could not be opened, probably in use by the system".
This is on a 64bit Windows 7, logged on user has "normal rights" (not adminstrator).

Keep up the good work.

Regards
Ian Dobson

By now you should know to copy your original bscavrl.dll file to your newly installed directory where the application file is located. The file is linked to your SN.

I have installed 2082 on a 32-bit Win 10 laptop without a problem. Multiple programs load after the setup.

Thanks to Mark Alberts for his great work and letting us have another free update!
The Bascom Software is so advanced now that a charge for updated versions would be reasonable.

Best regards
Hubert
