Hi
Has anyone tried using the Futurlec 240X128 Graphic LCD
This has the T6963c controller
This shows a 20 pin connector with backlight but does not show Anode connection, also no mention if the negative generator is on board but suspect this is so due to having 7660 regulators.
Help Please

I also wanted to order the same graphical LCD but had concerns about the pin definition. Because of that I have not order one. I have brought this to Futurlec's attention but have not yet received a reply. As soon as I receive a reply from them, I will post it here.
Best regards |

Hi,
I have used a Futurlec 240 x 64 graphics LCD.
The LED backlight has separate connection points on the opposite end to the data connection.
Mine did not have an onboard negative supply.
The supplied LCD appeared to be a generic one and did not have any obvious manufacturers name or part number. It was supplied without any data , but I did eventually receive data from Futurlec via email.
I hope this helps.
Regards

Geoffw,
Is it possible for you to provide the info that you received on the forum. I'm also interested in the lcd module you have purchased from Futurelec but would first want to have a glance at the datasheet
Many thanks

Hello
I did manage to get the LCD working from Futurlec but not with any help from Futurlec, after sending many Emails had no responce, but then noticed this has 21 pins not 20 as stated in the datasheet, this is not supplied with the device but in on Futurlec's wed site.
Then I found a 240X128 Graphic Display on E-Lab computer web site,
this is more expensive 69.90 EUR but a lot better display, it has auto contrast, therefore no need for a negative supply and has a clear white led back light and only consumes about 200ma, the Futurlec draws about 800ma.
Also the company is very helpfull and are prompt to respond to Emails.
Hope this helps
