Hi all,
I found that there are two types of satellite connector wires on the market, both with JST ZH connectors at each end and both using orange, grey and black. If one looks to the flat site of the connector (opposite to where the pins are visible) and the wires are oriented downwords, the assignments are as follows:
Type I (correct):
left = black = Gnd, middle = grey = signal, right = orange = Vcc
Type II (incorrect, found them coming with satellites for carbon fuselages):
left = orange = Gnd, middle = black = signal, right = grey = Vcc
No problem, if you use them just for the connection of satellites. But if you cut them to make pigtails for soldering, check which type you have!

I have to correct myself here:
Type II is and was the official satellite cable sold by Spektrum.
Type I is from a different source.
