Hi,

I had a problem with my laptop. I had at least two malwares working (Bedidle and GameVance). At about the same time I detected the problem, I noticed that the laptop was getting way too hot. I had to use an additional fan to cool it so I could run it.

I was able to remove both of the malwares (THANK YOU AGAIN, LUCIANO FOR THE TIP I GOT FROM YOU YEARS AGO ON USING SPYBOT!!) After removing them, the laptop no longer overheats.

I have never heard of a malware causing hardware damage. But then, I am not the most educated person when it comes to malware.

Any thoughts??

Regards,

Pete

Laptops have all sorts of tricky power management systems to preserve battery life ( use less power ). If the malware runs the processor full time, I would expect it to get hotter than normal.
