I have a problem with connecting a character lcd display (powertip 4002c)to port c and d of ATmega32.
The connection with port b is possible.
can somebody please help me?

Have you disabled the JTAG on the Atmega32? Check the fusebits.

Is't possible to verify the jtag fuse and undo them with Avrisp mkII?
If this is possible my jtag was not activated.

Default is JTAG enabled, so you have to turn it OFF.

Solution was indeed disable Jetag. My problem was the microcontroller itself, that wasn't working.
