Hi there,

Before i ruin the lovely eeprom on my AVR, i wanted to create an EEP file (using $eeprom, labels and data statements accordingly) and see if i could read that data back and display on an lcd. However upon loading the simulator and doing so causes bascom to entirely freeze and crash requiring a restart.

I can understand if bascom does not support read function in simulator, but the program actually falling over sounds less like 'does not support' and more like "something going wrong" hehe.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

bumping, been a while, still experiencing this issue.

not sure why eeprom isn't supported in bascom - couldnt the simulator just fetch the data from the relevant .eep file to mimic eeprom?

There's in the simulator a table EEPROM, so i assume that it can be simulated to, however i have never used it.
That you need to bump your topic again is because it's difficult to help if you're not providing us with some critical information like, Bascom version, used AVR and some small code where the problem occurs.

Regards, Evert
