Hello Khanh An,

Welcome to the forum and merry Christmas to you all.
There's a error in the drawing and parts list.
Change CDV2 from 1N to 10N.

Maybe Ben Zijlstra can confirm that he has also 10N inserted?

Did you change the fuse settings of the AVR? Clock divided by 8 must be switched off.

Maybe you can try it now again with the original 1N capacitor.

Hi,

@evert
>There's a error in the drawing and parts list.
>Change CDV2 from 1N to 10N.
Why? Did you calculate it after spec sheet?

@khanh_an111
After your description the board works but not the RFID side.
Do not play too much with fuses. The atmega is shipped with special
settings for boot loader. Do not kill that.
I would do the following:
- controll all parts to be assembled ok.
- Have a special look for short cuts nearby the EM4095 chip.
- Test the EM4095 Chip if it gets hot.
- Is the coil well connectet.
it is varnished - clean the contacts or solder it.
- If you have an oscilloscope measure directly at the coil.
be careful: With the 10 nF cap you can measure up to 800 volts.
- Is the board clean? Colofonium under the chip or capacitors
can switch off any funktion. Clean with aceton.
I have a page about troubleshooting for the EM4095. Look here and
use Google translate.
http://www.emagu.de/archiv/EM4095_rep/EM4095_rep_anleitung.htm

hope this helps

Gerhard

Have ordered the kit from www.mcselec.com, have put it together using only the components that came with the parcel, and it is running very well.

Have to take the protective shield from the display, that is all Very Happy

It is working with the white card and with the RF-drop that came with the kit.

Pin 9 of the MAX232, that is in a socket, is outside the socket. As you can see on the picture.

Have fun

Another thing....

After you press S3 you have to put a RF-card you would like to recognize above the coil. After that the card is working.

Have fun

Hi khanh_an111,

it is difficult to help with this few info.
Evert has, i think a good idea with frequency.
It is important, that the internal oscillator is in use and the frequency
is at 8 MHz. (divide clock by 8 is disabled)
This is your third picture (your comment is after) and i think this is OK.
Please look into your BASCOM CODE if you have this entry:
$crystal = 8000000
The important thing is that Mega88 and program has the same speed.
If i understand right, you say that the time is smooth. Do you mean that the
time is too slow??????
I made a test. I switched on devide clock by 8. This means the ATMega
runs at 1 Mhz. Then the clock in the LCD changes in steps of 7 seconds.
And no Tag can be read. Then i change this in the code:
$crystal = 1000000
Then i compile it new and burn the Mega88. Then i can read again the
TAG. This means now all runs at 1Mega Hertz not at 8 Mega Hertz.

Please try first with the original board to change the code: $crystal = 1000000
Look if the clock runs nearly normal, and test to read a TAG.
When this runs the problem is the frequency of the Mega88. Look then into
the manual of your programmer and look if the hook means programmed or
not programmed. You have to make sure that the Mega88 runs at 8 MHz.

Regards
Gerhard

Hello Ben Zijlstra and Gerhard,

Thanks for your reply.

These are some images about KIT.

@ In case $crystal = 8000000
This is image when I just program it.

This is image when I press S3.

The LCD does not display data of tag.

@ In case $crystal = 1000000
I change 8000000 --> 1000000. But it no change.
When I press S3.
The LCD display "ID " (not Add_RFID").
I don't know why.

This is the program I download from MCS Electronics
http://www.mcselec.com/index.php?option=com_phpshop&page=shop.getfile&file_id=101&product_id=171

Could you help me.
Thank you.

@Ben Zijlstra
good idea the flying Max232. Interesting bootloader.
Extremely helpful - my respect.

Hello khanh_an111,

A stupid question. Do you hold your card or keypad over the coil???
When you switch on the board, you see the time and text, then
the reader is ready to work.
Display shows now:
00:00:20 Detect_
MCS Electronics

Hold your keypad over the coil. Nearer than 3 centimeters.
You do NOT have to press any key now.
Look to the picture.
Then in the lower line you can see the TAG-ID (number )like this:
00:06:00 Detect
EA,7E,6C,00,16,_

Try also to disconnect your programmer after programming.
Then disconnect the power (batterie) and connect again.

Hello Gerhard,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I hold card or keypad over the coil.
But when I hold card or keypad, these is no change.
Those images you see above, I capture them when I hold card or keypad.

The connection in antenna is good. I check it.
Could you help me.
Thank you.
