Hello all,

I have a new PC, came with Vista of course.
Used to program me AVR's with an Olimex pg2b adapter (STK200 compatible). I used Bascom, AVRdude & ponyprog with my old PC with WinXP - all worked on the old PC.
The new PC didn't have an parallel port so i bought a Sweex PCI adapter with a parallel port (SPP, EPP & ECP) and mounted this one in the new pc, Vista found the drivers and all seemed OK, I installed a printer on it which works without problems. But i cant get Bascom, AVRdude or Ponyprog to work with the new parallel port (or with the installed MosChip driver) I also tested with TvicPort toolkit for direct access to the parallel port I/F without result.

So, i want to ask if anybody of you had the same problems, and how to get things working. Is it Vista, the driver, the hardware or the programs?

tia

Bruno.
