Hello,
I use Maxstream XTend Modules (900 Mhz 1 watt) ,and i search for a better performance (We supposite to have more then 5 Killometers), but i can't have more then 3/4 Kilometer with 6 Db omni antenna, and the antenna is install on 65 feets tower, and 3 db antenna on mobile. I found Aerocomm compagny, but it's the same technology with the same specs. I need a less of 3-6 Killometer on city area, and i search, if it's possible, for free license solution, if it' not possible, i search for the cheaper solution for the range i need. I don't want use cellular solution, is to expensive (I need 50-100 unit for each costumer)
Any suggest was appreciate

Hello Pete,
Yes it's possible, but the installation is on city.... (it's for tracking mobile) If i can have about 2-3 killometers for each repeter it will be perfect

Hi Steve,
I use the Freewave 900MHz (and 2.4GHz) spread spectrum radios which have an output power of 1 Watt. THey are used on open ocean and desert conditions and I routinely get 10km with a 6dB onmi and 25Km with a yagi.
I suspect your problem is multipath reflections from the buildings. I am not familiar with your modem but the nice thing about the Freewave's are the built in diagnostic utilities. You can get stats on packet errors, signal strength etc and transmission attempts. |
