Hi!
According to Bascom language reference for capture mode of timer2 one has to select "mode 1". I have found the same statement in ATMEL's microcontroller manual for AT89S52. According to it the first bit of T2CON should be set for "mode 1".
However, during the simulation with Bascom of my program I found at the register status window that this bit (T2CON.0) - the first bit from the right of T2CON - did not pick up "1". So it remained "0" as if my Timer 2 would be in "mode 0" (auto reload mode).
I tested it again and again with the same results.
Has somebody already met this problem?
Nonetheless I love Bascom. It is extremely good tool for amateurs for programming microcontrollers.
During simulation T2CON = 0A can be seen in the register status window in the above arrow position.
Hexa 0A = binary 00001010
But, in mode 1 (capture mode) of timer2 the first bit from the right should be set according to the description of timer2 in Atmel manuals.
So this would be what I expect:
