The new USB-ISP-Programmer has a jumper to select between external power and internal power. I did not found which combination is correct. Is no jumper external power or the opposite?

I found the answer by mail from PPHU "EMBUD".
For internal Power supply ( 5 V) jumper is connected.
If jumper is removed external power is selected.

Does this mean that the programmer will power the device being programmed (for instance the ZL7AVR) if the jumper is connected? I measure only 1.6 volts on the +5v pin with no device connected. When should the green power led show? As soon as the programmer is connected to the computer's USB port? I cannot get Bascom to find the USB-ISP programmer.

Reinstalling the programmer got it working - provided I use a separate 5V supply for the ZL7. The programmer will only supply 4V with the ZL7's 30mA load, so the Atmega 128 is held in reset by the reset chip.
