Does anyone know how to connect to a mobile phone and initiate a call where I can transfer data. ie more data than can be transferred by SMS. I understand that this type of connection is referred to as a GPRS or WAP connection.
As an extension of this question, do you know how to make the connection between the AVR and the phone with Blue tooth. The advantage of blue tooth is that I would not need a cable to connect to the phone. I would just put it near the AVR device and then let the AVR device connect to it and make the phone call.
I have bought blue tooth to TTL interface units and I can use them to connect my PC to my AVR based device.
Now I would like to get my AVR based device to send and receive data across the mobile phone network to my PC or to the internet.
I can of course connect my PC to my phone and access the internet. Now I want to do the same from my AVR based device.
The difficulty is finding information about how to control the phone and initiate or receive calls.
