I have downloaded the demo version and connected P0 to LCD data bus
P2.0 to RS , P2.1 to Rw and P2.2 to E of the 89S52.
THE LCD is 16 *2 JHD 162A
No display is coming
Please help ?

Most common error is wrong contrast voltage.
Some LCD's work with positive contrast line, others with negative.
Some with negative have onboard voltage converter, others not.
that depends on the manufacturer of the LCD.
So follow the datasheet specifications of the LCD. |

That was solved lonng back.
a) I was able to set contrast
b) I was able to write from asm files outside bascom.
c) That too only on the first line. all efforts to write to second line failed
d) bascom is not working for me.

Hi,
You dont need a wire from uC to RW pin of LCD module! Just connect RW to GND. |

Hello all
I have been trying for two weeks with

Please .....Please ... some body send code that
writes "hello" in line one and line two.
