|
|
Hello.
I don’t know if this topic was on the forum (I didn’t find it) and can I post a small bug here ... there is such a problem:
There is a variable "Twi_start" used for I2C.
It is somehow incorrectly displayed in the editor.
The editor shows it as unused (gray).
If it is disabled (commented out), the compiler will generate an error "Error : 5 Line : -114 No more space for BIT [TWI_START] , in File : D:\SOFT\BASCAVR2085\LIB\XMEGA.LIB".
(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.8.5 ) |

Can I somehow turn off this formatting of unused variables? |

Menu Edit, Show Dead Code
Indeed this is a bug. The editor does not know about this variable used in the lib.
Notice that the Dead Code option is intended to be used as a tool when your project is done. Always take care when removing dead code. Best to remark it.
It is good to report it to support when you find false 'dead code' occurrences. _________________ Mark |

And yet, tell me please, how can I remove the indent to the left of the text in the editor window? And then a lot of useful space disappears. |

I understand, thank you.
I also noticed something incomprehensible: if the compiler disables the option to create an error file and if an error occurs, then it is impossible to understand what error occurred. Until you enable the option to create an error file.
Quote: | Error file not found:D:\Automat\Bas\xcore.err
See compiler output options to enable the error file |
I don't need the error file in the project, the errors in the window IDE are enough. |

For me incomprehensible is that you still did not read the help.
if you do not check the option for the bin/hex file you do not get these files and you can not program the chip.
and when you dont check the ERR file, the info about compile errors will not be made and thus the IDE does not know about the errors.
The code explorer errors have nothing to do with the errors from the compiler. Both are separated (for now)
In practice it is a good idea to clear all code explorer errors. _________________ Mark |
