Good evening,
back from winter, I get back to work.
I just updated to V2.0.8.4.
V2.0.8.3 was in French, but not the new version.
I forgot how to switch the language back to French, could you refresh my memory?
thanks in advance

(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.8.4 )

"Si vous voulez m'aider pour la traduction ce serais avec plaisir, j'ai fait la première traduction pendant un arrêt de travail suite à un gros accident de la route il y a plus de 20 ans. comme vous avez pu le constater il y a des manques dans l'IDE, il faudrait tout revoir. seul c'est un peu dur. Mark serait enchanté. j'attends votre réponse jp030405 at yahoo.fr"

https://www.deepl.com/translator is a very good translator, you can write in English then and it is well translated into your native language.
Your message translated to English:
Quote:
If you want to help me with the translation it would be a pleasure, I did the first translation during a work stoppage due to a big road accident more than 20 years ago. As you could see there are some gaps in the IDE, it should all be reviewed. alone it's a bit hard. Mark would be delighted. I look forward to your reply jp030405 at yahoo.fr

And from this English version back to French:
Quote:

Comme vous avez pu le constater il y a quelques lacunes dans l'IDE, il faudrait tout revoir. seul c'est un peu difficile. Mark en serait ravi. Dans l'attente de votre réponse jp030405 at yahoo.fr

yes MWS you right
Code:

https://www.deepl.com/translator is a very good translator,

More than 20 years ago I proposed to Mark to translate the IDE and I did what I could, the software to automate the IDE was not free in France and at that time I could not buy it. As usual I am open to all your excellent suggestions to improve Bascom and if you want to correct the IDE translations Mark will be very happy.

I've wondered a bit why, imho in a bold manner, you did invite the asking guy for collaboration while he only wanted to know where to change a certain setting. It honors you to put your time into translation and improvement, but not every commercial user will enjoy the same.

Beside, translating the IDE is merely a decoration purpose, the real and huge task would be to translate the Help.
Do you have the slightest idea, how much work it will devour to do and keep it updated?

Tell me, where do you see all the cash flowing in, to pay for such complete language conversions?

MWS Thanks you for your comments, but I'm so happy to see French bascom's user.
You have not understood me, I am a bit old to take up the torch and I will be happy to find help to help in the Bascom project for free of course.
In the continuity of the translation of the IDE I have written

https://www.mcselec.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=126&Itemid=67
again this E-book need to be updated with the news X-Tiny
As I said in the forum , my "way of life" is to help. I know you have the same

JP,
thank you, I can see your target now.
Was missing that you did already a translation of the Help, a task which may be truly exhausting for a single maintainer.
My answer thus only did reflect the economically side of it, and not the one of enthusiasm, my apologies.

there are indeed some gaps. for multiple languages. i have done some research in a tool that saves the language in a separate file so it is simpler for users to alter.
it is possible to translate the PDF. but the result needs correction. And the doc is growing. and modified each release.
but it would be nice to have some new fresh translations.
