With new versions of avr (xtiny / megax etc) and microchip set pickit4 as the official programmer for all chips
should internal be supported by bascom ?
(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.8.4 ) |

Did it also tell Microchip is official distributor of Bascom?
No?
If not, why Bascom should care?
Supported programmers are already available for any chip supported by Bascom.

There must be balancing between desirable features vs. expensive or non-available labor time.
If it would be only a question of "expensive time": How much would you personally pay to get this feature?
Assume twenty more paying users would request this feature, how far can this money support implementation and testing with all available controllers?
I'd say this lots of time is better used elsewhere. |

i ordered a SNAP programmer. the first goal will be to give an alternative to the MCS UPDI programmer.
It depends entirely on the API provided by microchip if that will be enhanced for ISP/PDI too. But beside the programming i want to use it for debugging.
When SNAP works the pickit will not be much of a difference. _________________ Mark |

Wow!
Great news.
It will be nice to be able to use the SNAP programmer from within Bascom!
Thank you!
