from history.txt file:

- log files are stored user\appdata\roaming\mcs electronics
- xml settings file is also located in this folder
- xml settings file has a new name with the version in it : bascavr2082.xml

Nope, it doesn't seem the MRU is in any of the xml files. In fact, if I delete the file reference entries in the xml files, the MRU remains and is written back to the xml files

If Bascom starts then read XML into the RAM. If you change some options then they will be written into the XML file on the Bascom closing.
So if you want to manipulate on this XML file then you must first shutdown Bascom...
