Hi,
I have a compiled the bootloader.bas, uploaded to ATMEGA128
Using the bootloader.exe I can successfully upload my .bin file
Now, if I want to update the firmware once again i have to power off/on. It's not possible to use reset pin due to HW setup and power off/on is not an option either.
From what I understand it should be possible to use a "JMP $3c00" to a bootloader, correct?
I've tried but it doesnt work, from further reading it seems that the address to JMP to is different from uc to uc, can any of you help with the right instructions for a Mega128 (actually its a Mega128L if that makes any difference)
Thanks in advance
Anders

to jump to the bootloader.
To know where you have to jump to you need to know the used bootloader size as set in the fuses.
Then you need to read the datasheet.

After reading 284 pages (or use the search function in Adobe) you find the table 112, Boot size configuration.
Use the address from the column "Boot reset address" and there you go.
