|

Hello
I'm currently working with version 2.0.8.0
Since some of my programs react differently (compiling without error though) compared to 2.0.7.8 I would like to temporarily go back to 2.0.7.8.
Upon moving to 2.0.8.0 unfortunately I have deletd the "older" version
Where can I find 2.0.7.8 for reinstallation?
Thank you

You can dowload it here; https://register.mcselec.com/login.php
After you have logged in you need to download the lic file for the version you want and the updatewiz.
But it's better to solve the problems you have with 2080 version.
What are the problems with your code? Did you read the history.txt to see if something has changed concerning your problem? _________________ www.evertdekker.com Bascom code vault |

exact. put it in a NEW folder and put in there the license dll too.
also put the updatewiz into that folder and the downloaded lic.
then run the updatewiz which will update the new folder.
do not remove the other version since some system components are not installed.
i would start updating to 2079 and then read the history notes.
when all works in 2079, check the 2080 notes. _________________ Mark |

Dear Evert and Mark,
thank you very much for your prompt and precise answers.
I did study the change log(s), however, so far could not find a relevant issue.
I'll follow your advice and do a second installation.
Best regards

Hello dear reader,
so far no success in installing 2078
In a new folder I have 3 files: "bascom-avr-2078.lic" , "bscavrl.dll" (which I assume is the license dll) and "UpdateWiz.exe".
Upon starting UpdateWiz.exe a small window opens "MCS Auto Update Wiz 1.0.0.20", clicking "Setup" opens "Update Wizard Setup" asking for Proxy Data (all fields empty, except Proxy Port "0" and Time Out "0").
Clicking "Next" opens "Product Selection" with "BASCOM-AVR 2.0.7.8" in the select box. Clicking "Next" creates a small window "MCS Auto" with "Bad request" and upon "OK" I'm back at an empty "Available Updates".
Obviously I'm doing something wrong.
Any idea?
Thanks

Hello,
I was able to install 2078.
Deep in the bowels of my PC I found the "install.exe" of that version - the installation went smoothly.
Thanks
