Got a message from SourceForge that YAT terminal got an update.
Don't be fooled by its ever 'beta' or 'gamma' state. There is continously worked on. 'There ain't no real perfection' (acc. to Cuby + Blizzards)
I personally like this program a lot, have used it for many years now.

The author, MAETTU_THIS, contributed to "Serial Terminal Basics" in the "TUTORIALS" section at Sparkfun website.
