My wife is a good cook, I am lucky! I never put the feet in his kitchen... except for repairs of its household appliances devices.
Cooking is managing in multi-task the dish cooked slowly while the sauce should be just warm and for eggs boiled it's exactly 3 minutes.
she hate technique; so that the devices are intuitive, easy to use, ergonomic, simple and practical.
The other day she asked me to buy him a new counter to manage its cooking.
So I propose to make one myself.
The specifications
The device must be multi-timer: 2 mini 4 maxi
Each timer must be able to go to 11:59 pm
1 second precision
In 1-minute increments
Each timer must be stopped along the count without influence on others.
An indication of the time, visible in the timer window, would be a plus because my dear never wears a watch!
Finally when the kitchen off, an analog clock wouldn't be a gadget.
And who says clock, if it could wake up why not?
The material
1 Arduino mega2560
1 non-tactile screen of 320 X 480
1 shield clock, DS3231 RTC (Dallas)
1 printed circuit for the 3 buttons and interfaces (switch power supply, clock RTC.)
The power supply has been entrusted to a micro-USB-power supply interface Embase à connecteur micro-USB which allows to simply use a mobile phone power.
Finally the case was drawn and then cut in medium 3mm with a laser machine
The program
Thanks. I start with thanks because without them you would not be reading me!
I used a library for graphical display at base of HX8357B written by 'Hkipnik '.
I used the work done by "Ben" for his weather station.
I also use small programs of change of style of graphic files to use the icons on the buttons and to redraw the 4 quarters of the analog dial of the clock. These tools are the work of "Hkipnik" and " Mrshilov »
Thanks to them!
Did you find the second windows ?
I add the program, I add too the folder Dessins where I put the drawing of arrows and the case.
no video because it is very static.
But I can say : my wife use it an like it

You can buy those multi cooking timers for a couple of dollars on ebay.
HOWEVER making a timer yourself, exactly as you want it is much more fun.
If it's finished you can show it to all your friends "made it myself"...priceless.
But watch out, if your food is burned the wife can blame you now if you made a programming error _________________ www.evertdekker.comBascom code vault
Thank you for sharing your wonderful project. I guess with such a timer and wife/cook you do not need to go to a restaurant
Three timers in one device is very handy. I do not recall to have seen such an alarm clock.
We have several timers, but they are all single timers.
I only can not find the circuit. Lots of nice images. icons etc. Maybe i overlook something? _________________ Mark
