I am trying to get Bascom [ver 2.0.8.0] to use an Avrisp mkII for programming flash, fuses, EEPROM.
With the Avrisp connected via USB, I am getting no where. It does not show up under programmers, going to Device Manager, Jungo, it does not appear. It flashes a green light on power-on, but that is it, nothing afterwards.
I have gone through the archives, but I do not get any help there.
Can someone point me to a clear set of instructions showing how to program Xmegas [I am using the Xmega128A3U] from Bascom/Avrisp mkII?

My computer is an Intel i5, 3 GHz machine, 12 Gigs RAM, Over 4TB hard drive storage, running WIN8.1 64 bit.

I would greatly appreciate getting help programming my AVR target board.
