I have an arduino mega 1280. Over on this thread we are having trouble http://www.mcselec.com/index2.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=59&page=viewtopic&t=13341&highlight=arduino as I cant get bascom to communicate with the chip. If I use arduino program - no problem. Any ideas?

Try a different baud rate with ARDUINO as programmer
Try 57600 baud for the baud rate or try 19200 baud rate setting
