|

Hi,
I'm using Bascom version 2.0.7.8 (WIN7, 64bit) and experiencing some issues. During the compilation of the code (key F7) the message "NOT RESPONDING" pops up. After repeating the same compilation procedure (F7), the compilation is successful. I found out that the error appears when before the compilation F4 is executed "PROGRAMIRAJ - F4". Is this normal behaviour or is there a way to avoid the double “press key F7" procedure?
Thank you for your help.
(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.7.8 ) |

I advise to check the 2079 beta. If you still have issues, write to support with steps for reproducing. _________________ Mark |

I am having the same problem with ver 2.0.7.7. Sometimes when I click F7, it compiles very quickly and uses 0% of the EEPROM. I then click F7 a second time, and the correct compile takes place.
If after a code change, i do a file save, then hit F7, the problem does not occur.
The problem seems to be code specific - in other words one of my projuects has the problem and one project does not. ???? _________________ Neil |

What do you expect? To have your old version serviced, while there is a newer? |

I do not think it is sarcastic. In fact MWS has a good point : we do not support old versions.
And second : if you want help or give help, please give good info. steps to reproduce the problem for example. I have no idea what result some people expect with their posts. _________________ Mark |

Sure I do.
However I also speak out frankly, if I believe something isn't that clever.
Now, what do you think Microsoft tells you, if you write them, after they have provided an update, i.e. new version, that you have found a bug in the previous version, which is identical to the bug already addressed?
Should they provide then an updated previous version especially for you? Which then would be an update in itself, so why simply not take the provided update?
What's the message you've wanted to send?
That is what my post should have pointed you to.
Maybe I wouldn't have posted at all, if not Mark did already wrote:

What from this sentence you do not understand, or don't you read previous posts at all? |
