Ben and Theo can make about anything. I have seen a lot of great projects which they shared here. What i find great is that they always take the time to build the projects in an attractive case. This time with the color matching LCD they even wend a step further. It is great to have such friends. Especially since they create these great unique gifts.
I have a nice collection in the mean time with 'Made in Tilburg' Very Happy
It was still my plan to take pictures and show them but still have no camera connected to my dev pc.
So it is nice that Ben at least uploaded this picture.

Thanks guys !

A made with Bascom page on your main site with pictures of the great projects that have been made with Bascom
to show what is possible.
I often get the comment "Oh its basic we want a more serious language" when I suggest its use.
This might show them it is a serious commercial language.

Two different 'builders' had some problems flashing the ESP8266 shield.
After correct flashing no connection to the access point. After some research:

Here are the settings for the ESP8266 with Arduino IDE 1.6.7

Hello,
Compile of weatherstation_3 on generic ESP8266 board did not even start:
L:\Temp\weatherstation_3\weatherstation_3.ino in L:\Temp\weatherstation_3 not found.

But compiling weather-station-v2 from Github runs but ends with error,
"drawframe1" was not declared in this scope.

What did I wrong in especially with weatherstation_3?
Best regards, Meister

Arduino 1.6.5

The ZIP-file is unpacked in

documents\arduino\weatherstation\weatherstation_3

You will get these files:
WeatherClient.cpp
WeatherClient.h
Weatherstation_3.ino

Click the ino file twice and Arduino IDE will start.

Select Generic ESP8266 or NodeMCU 1.0

Compile and upload. Start the Arduino internal terminal at 9600 baud. If everything is correct you should see the ESP8266 trying to connect to your access point. And after that a connection to www.eventcaster.nl (you have to get an API-key at www.forecast.io).

Hope you get it working. Have seen you asked the same question at the Ultra Light MQTT client, but I answer here.

Have fun

There is new Bascom-AVR and ESP8266 code for Weatherstation 4.0

All initiative from Arduino Mega 2560
Current weather but also a week forecast
Several locations
Several week forecasts

http://weerstation.benshobbycorner.nl

It is in Dutch, but with Google Translate you can translate it to your own languages. Noticed however that the pictures could not be found.
So for the pictures you have to check the original site.

Have fun

Hello Ben,

Thanks for this great update. You documented it well. Indeed google translate will do a good job.
I need to study your v4 code. But as usual you write clear documented code, and your web shows a good explanation.
I like the new forecast screens. I also understand the eventcaster now.

Now all we need is good weather Very Happy

Hello
Unfortunately Ben's has left us.
I am looking at his weather station, may on his site http://weerstation.benshobbycorner.nl we can no longer download its sources.
If someone got them it would be great to put them on the forum.
Best regard.
