hi,

a question:

using as an oscillator, the internal oscillator to an ATmega8 set to 4Mhz, pins (XTAL1 / TOSC1) and PB6 (XTAL2 / TOSC2) PB7 must be left unconnected if not used?

Thank you.

(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.7.8 )

Hi,
using the internal osc. sets PB6/7 to be used as any other Pxn. So, like on every other I/O, it is a good idea to set unused pins to be inputs with pullups.
Anyway, letting them flow does not affect the internal osc., if that's what you worry about.
