I'm trying to drive a 16 bit TFT display with an XMega32D4U. The data high lines on Port C look fine, but the top 4 bits of the data low lines on Port D look strange. Many pulses are less than 1 volt, for no good reason that I can see. Shift the data low port to port A, and all looks good. Same code works fine on an XMega 128, and the problem chip will pulse all its output lines fine, when tested. Hoping I've missed something...
TIA, David

Hi Dave,

Looking at the datasheet there's nothing special with portd.
Did you connected ALL the Vcc pins to Vcc, including Avcc ?

Maybe you can share some code how you initialize the ports.

let us know when you found the problem. make sure there is no other hardware connected to these port pins.
or that some fuse sets some option.

Evert, my code comes from Hipnik on the De forum, who got portions from you, so thankyou twice! As it happens, the xmega 32 was a bit small, so when a xmega 128 board from Batsocks arrived, my own board got pushed aside. Thankyou also to Mark, if I have any success later I will share the good news. Cheers from Australia, David

Hi Dave.

Where in Gippsland? We just spent 3 nights at Rawson and visited Walhalla. Nice area.

Cheers,

Ross (Blackburn, Melbourne)
