HI there
it seems there is a new update (three hours ago have recieved Email from Mark ). Razz
I have checked it .now it supports Softclock for M169 ,
it seems also more debuged version and with better Documents and organized sample folder .
Thank you Mark .

but I could not find a release text or news file to see what is new or debuged . or even version of Updated LIBs . same as AVR DOS ( Hi josef , is it now V5? ).

PS. freinds put your opinion about new update here if you like

One important note about new update system and updatewiz, from logs we see more tries to update via updatewiz but seems users get nothing, please if you has problem check this :
- Make sure that the license DLL is in the same dir as the Update Wiz !
- When the Update Wiz is installed in the BASCOM dir, it is there already.
- When the Update Wiz is installed into it's own directory, copy the license file from the BASCOM application dir to the same directory as the Update Wiz.

The LIC file is there (in the Bascom folder) and still getting nothing. It sees that I have Bascom installed but then "no components are found to update".
Confused

Hi,

It is very important that the serial number of the license dll matches the one that was used to register.
And of course, the license dll must be the right license dll, not another dll that is renamed, or damaged. Best would be the dll from the bascom dir.

If it still fails, you can send me the log file from the Wiz.

I have some trouble with the updatewizzard, as well.

My UW Version was 1.0.0.5 and the program crashed down after I pressed the "next" button. I downloaded the 1.0.0.6 Version and the progeam accepted my serial number and showed the Bascom-avr logo. But, the UW found no update to Bascom AVR 1.1.8.0
It is already available, or it this normal?

thanks

chris

Now I looking on your registration in register and I see your registration and serial number is now waiting for approve from Mark. While this step is not finished update not work and you cannot download .lic file.
Please be patient

Teddy
For 1.11.8.0 version you need to download new .lic file also !
Put them into BASCOM-AVR directory and run update.

Hello,

for those, who still have problems despite they followed the steps mentioned above:

You necessarily need the new LIC file.
You get this file from the MCS homepage as a registered user.
If you are not yet registered under the new system, register now.
Wait until your registration is validated (shown in the status)
(good luck, my validation took only a few hours)

If you then get the message "register first" from the update wizzard, you are not yet in the database. No problem. Either wait, or download the full packet and install the update manually as described.

Best regards
Henrik

Hi,

Some more news to the new Wiz/update.
- all entries from the old registration system will be converted in some weeks( sorry , it does take some time and i can only work at one thing at the time)
- the Wiz will look for your serial DLL AND LIC file.
So while the LIC file you downloaded must be in the same dir as the update wiz, the serial DLL must be in the dir you are trying to install the update in.
When you install into a new dir, just make sure you copy the serial license dll to this dir before running the wiz.
- while you can download the full file , this is a relatively big file. When every body does so, it will be the end of free updates.
