Hi,

usually I program with Bascom on AVR. Now I came across an incredibly good radio transceiver
with integrated ultra-low power AX8052 MCU (see http://www.axsem.com/www/micros/ultra-low-power-rf/ax8052f143).
It is much more sensitive than the RFM22 radio we have in use at the moment.
There is a C language environment for free available and a colleague of mine already did some successful programming.
We already have a hardware design.
Nevertheless I would prefer to program in Bascom. Does anyone already tried this chip or can at least give an
advice if it does make sense to start with Bascom? Or do you think this is a too proprietary chip?

With best regards

Chris

you can use any 8051 compatible chip with bascom-8051.
the only point is that you create a DAT file. These DAT files contain the SFR names with their address. And they contain the addtional interrupts, not found in the 8031.
Just have a look at the various dat files.
after that you be able to work with the chip.
only disadvantage of 8051 is that it has very limited internal memory. if you have used bascom-8051 it should be easy.
