|
|
I have used version 11 for a long time and have not had any problem.
I use the $INCLUDE for many files and have a directory with all my include files and the main .BAS in the same directory, theses are not in the BASCOM directory but another place in my software directory.
In version 11 when I compiled the $INCLUDE .BAS was found without trouble, but V12 wiil only find the $INCLUDE if it is in the BASCOM directory, this means all my code has to be in one directory, this is no good for me, I have entered the correct path in the oprtions and it forgets the location of the path when I close BASCOM, even thought the path is still shown, I must open the path and then close the option for it to work, V11 was ok.
Is there another option in the menu I can not find? or is this a fault with the new version?
Many thanks Mark _________________ 73 de Mark |

Mark
Haven't seen this problem occur on my Bascom-8051 programs.
There are some examples on my homepage (the BenBus), is it possible to compile them with your version of Bascom-8051 and mail us the results?
BTW I don't use a path while using the include-files.

Hello Ben,
V12 does not find the path for the INCLUDE file, I enter the path in the "ENVIRONMENT" > "IDE"> "File location" section of the options. It will only see the path if I enter it every time I open up the V12.
I am still using V11 as it is fine with all my software, all my projects use include files and it will not work with V12 now for some reason.
V12 does not compile my code as it will not look in the directory for the INCLUDE(this is the same place the .BAS is kept), it will only work if all my INCLUDE and .BAS are in the same directory as BASCOM.EXE.
V11 allows me to use any directory for my .BAS and INCLUDE, this is my problem!
I have a licence and the download was for a new instalation.
Many thanks Mark. _________________ 73 de Mark |

Mark
I see something simular in Bascom-AVR. For my graphical displays I would like to put all my pictures in a specific directory and the same for my fonts. Have to do some more testing but I haven't found a way to use paths.
Will send a mail to Mark from www.mcselec.com with some suggestions.
Have fun
