Hi,
I would like to use MMC card for simple data logger. On this forum I found that all projects are made in Bascom - AVR and AVR - DOS.
Is it possible to use Bascom 8051 for these aplications? |

Yes. If you do not need a dos fat16/32 system is relative easy use a MMC/SD card as data storage.Of course you need a uC with some resources; more then 512bytes ram (or a fram memory), SPI interface.
Look here http://www.bipom.com/datalogger.shtm

Thanks you Gianni!
Just one more questions
"FRAM memory"??
I don't know what type of memory is that!?
Do you, maybe, have some experiences with this subject? |

Fram stand for Ferroelectric Random Access Memory
Ferroelectric memories use no iron or magnetic principles.
It stores data within a crystalline structure.
It is non volatile memory like EEprom.
Read and write cycles require the same time.
Can be written over 1e10 times ; EEprom can be written 1e5 to 1e6 times.
For more details look for www.ramtron.com

I have a serial data storage adapter for writing and reading data to SD card, based on a 89lpc932 and a I2c fram. Now i'm working around a datalogger for my weather station.
