Application for circuit simulation

I know that Proteus is for such purpose but for my needs it is too extensive. I've searched something similar but simpler (in my opinion) and recently I've found this simulation software https://www.simulide.com/p/downloads.html for cicuit build. There is a free version out there. The cool thing is that I write the program in Bascom, compile and then load the hex file to the simulated uC of my choice, build the circuit and test it. So far I tested not much hence don't know where the problems may occur in the future. Anyway if you know some similar application, please share your experience.
