And the Second Computer had Win10 before and is Upgraded to Win11.

- install with admin rights. on a network PC it is sometimes needed to use a local admin account
- run bascom the first time with admin rights.

after a reboot you could run it with normal user rights.
when you get the error you got it means a component is not properly installed. you can do this manual :

- create a command window with admin rights
- CHDIR to the bascom-avr application folder
- type : REGSVR32 MFC42.DLL
- you should get an OK message.
- type : REGSVR32 SAXCOMM7.OCX
- you should get an OK message.

now run the software again.
after all the years it is not clear to me why some users get the error and other dont.
I always test on a VM and it always seems to work right. But of course these are default windows installations without specific settings.

Thanks.

Maybe Win11 deleted the Admin Rights??

I used this 2084 USB Installation many times on Both of my Comupters which changed the Windows versions since 2084 is available.
I had Win7 as i Installed 2084 on my USB Stick. And it Worked all fine with no issues. And now with Win11 i have no Admin Rights anymore??. Wierd :/
