Hello,

I use a microSDHC for data logging on a XMega.
Now we have severe problems with the SD-Cards, we use Intenso 4GB Class 4 microSDHC.
About 50% of about 100 Cards are running, but the other 50% do not...

I called Intenso support, and they told me that SPI Interface is not in their specification, because this is a consumer product.
Has someone an idea which microSD we can use? They should be 100% SPI compatible!

Thanks

you just reached "first level support" who can tell up to how to format it

try with kingstone
reason is that they have the specification ON THEIR SITE -> http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/SDCIT-specsheet-64gb_en.pdf
which clearly states that card support both SD and SPI interface

at any case you can reach somehow someone,in case of problem, (someone must put this pdf online)

Thanks plouf

but this datasheet is for SDXC Cards, which are not supported by AVR-DOS.
Do you have any experience with Kingston Cards and AVR-DOS?

no i have no personal experience

hoewever this is for kingstone and sdhc
www.kingston.com/datasheets/SDCIT-specsheet-8gb-32gb_en.pdf

they clearly state it..

and at least seems that in Kingstone they KNOW what spi is , and what their cards support !!

@Duval JP
It seems that the small Sandisk (4/8GB) microSDHC are End of Life. => poorly available
