Every time that I get a fresh Bascom I start to mess around in de Samples folder. It is soon cluttered with compiler output that has nothing to do with all the other .bas files that are in the same Samples directory.
I think every .bas in the Sample directory deserves its own directory.
That is what this bastodir utility can do. I use it in Windows10.
Download and unzip.
Put this utility in a directory with .bas files cluttered with other garbage.
When run it creates a same named directory (if it not exists) for each .bas file and places a copy of that .bas file inside.
When reading file or dir names it does not distinguish between upper and lower case, but every file or dir name created is in lower case.
Now all we need is for it to do the same for .inc files

Do you just want inctodir? Just .inc in stead of .bas? I can easily ask for that.
Or some kind of combo? Then you have to be more specific about your wishes.

My first idea was to make a copy of Samples and give it the bastodir treatment. Then change in Options/Environment/IDE the Sample location to that copy.
Other purpose:
I experienced a very cluttered workspace if I experiment. Many 'almost the same' programs accompanied with compiler files.
Bastodir could then filter every 'almost the same' program into a separate directory with only the related outputfiles when recompiled.
So bastodir can also be a cleanup help.
I think there are many other extensions one may want to use this way.
Could be done with a popup where you fill in the extension.
Or select the extension from a drop down list.
If such utility would come up with a right mouse click in Windows file explorer, that would be the ultimate soltution.
However, I do not intend to grow this into a large project, as I cannot do it myself. I got bastodir as a gift.
So let's first see if bastodir has practical use, before asking extra's.

Both would be good so it does the same for .inc as it does for .bas
This is because the .inc files are little program files.
With bascom having the project mode that others do not.
If we we more tidy we would not need it
