|
|
Hi
This sounds like a crazy simple question.
How does the 'Find Text' dialogue window work. Ive read the help and cant get it do to very much at all.
When i search for a word it only hi-lights one word. Ive used * around words and part words but cant seem to get it to work as i thought it would.
I was expecting to hi-light every word. If i searched for 'byte' only one is highlighted
Thanks
Snow

It will find first occurence. Next find you will get with F3
You can call find with CTRL+F3 and then type word to find or highlight some piece of code and then CTRL+F
Important is change to Global. Sommetimes Im using "Whole words only" option or "Case sensitive"
Even more powerfull and often used is Replace function CTRL+R. With this you can change namig of the some variables/aliases for whole code without miss any occurence (Replace all).

For some another searches Code Explorer is usefull too. Look what you can find with it by hovering cursor over code with Shift

Why do you hijack a thread instead of creating your own?
Your question doesn't relate to the topic 'search window'.
Try the nomenclature exactly as the help tells you for 'config lcd'.
The real-time code-checker may be less forgiving than the compiler. |
