You can know that your foliage plant is wanting water.
[SEN0193], the electrode pattern of the printed circuit board is protected by resist, so there is no worry that the electrode corrodes.
Measure the soil moisture content and display it on the LCD.

I will use [Arduino UNO] and [LCD Keypad Shield].
DFRobot's SKU:SEN0193, or a compatible module.
It works even with the original AVR circuit.

First, set threshold values ​​for drying and underwater.
1. Press the [SELECT] switch to enter the threshold setting mode.
2. While holding the sensor in the air, press the [UP] switch to set the drying threshold.
3. Put water in the cup for about 6cm, submerge the sensor in water and press the [DOWN] switch to set the underwater threshold.
4. After setting the threshold value, press the [SELECT] switch to memorize the threshold value and exit the setting mode.
(The threshold value is stored in EEPROM of AVR.)
5. The measurement result is displayed on the LCD and the terminal.
