to improve number of color generated by an avr 8 bit port the following solution can be done

just add a tri state condition so There is 0V AND 2.5V AND 5 VOLT ON ONE WIRE

OPTIMAL SCHEMATIC WITH COLOR CODE ONTO 3 BYTE
ONE byte for output value
one byte for ddr input/output
one byte for pull up resistor on/off
