Thank you very much for your code
Is there any chance you can post some more info about your solar project, i am thinking about making a project myself.
What kind of motors do you use?

Ok, now i see
Thomas Hansen is a very common name in Denmark, so i'm afraid that I can't take credit for that
Still hope that you will share some more info about your solar project, your code is exellent.
Calculations of the sun is much more reliable (in my opinion) than the light sensors, the code is more complicatet but now that you made the code its no problem _________________ /Thomas Hansen |

Shall we start a new topic?
I suggest: Depending of Your intention, name it Solar Heating or Solar Electric Power. |

Well ... that all depends doesn't it? You could be pointing at the heavy clouds that are blocking the sun, while ignoring the brightest part of the cloudless sky. It would be interesting to compare the pointing angles produced by the light sensors with the calculated angles.
Cheers,

Hi snipacarina!
I know it´s a long time since you posted your program here, but you asked for feedback, so I am doing now.
I needed a program like yours and tryed it.
At the first moment it did not worked well, and then I added my GMT ( -3) to the calculations and it worked.
There are many online sun position calculations and your program presented difference about 3º or 4º on azimuth calc and about 2º or 3º on elevation.
But, your program was the only one that shown negative elevation exactly when it was dawn , thats why I liked very much.
I made a circuit with GPS ME1000 on com channel #1 and BT HC04 on ch#2 of MEGA1284P so it can send the info to a solar pannel that will have an IMU (still working on it) to syncronize the position.
Here is the your feedback in case you are still interested, and thanks for your program!!! |
