Hi dear
I want to make ntp server with arduino uno R3 with ethernetshield and rtc Ds 1307. So i try to send 1 ntp packet .but the client don't work .i use sntp function that have been said in mcs help.
Do you have same exprience?
Can you help me?
How do i make NTp packet? |

so you want to make a server, not use sntp() function as a client right?
have a look at RFC 2030
it explains how it works.

Thank's alot for your reply.
But i have to explain that , I used var=sntp(idx,ip) command to get time and date in client .
Do you kwnow sntp function how do work.
I couldn't find SNTP Function . |

Hello NE5660
As Mark said you have to read RFC 2030 https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2030
SNTP is not a function it is a time server just like a web server but you ask it for the time not web pages

Yes but it will require a lot of code would be easyer to use a raspberry pi

mind you that this is the BASCOM forum and the ARDUINO is for the ARDUINO hardware.
This is not intended to discuss arduino or PI projects. there are a lot of other forums for that.
It is still not clear what the TS wants but it appears he want to make a time server. that is relatively simple. Just read the RFC ! _________________ Mark |
