Just in time for Xmas, 2080 is released.
You can only download it from register.mcselec.com as the full setup. See also the help topic 'move to new pc'.
As always we recommend to make a backup. And save your 2079 copy.
The files for the updatewiz will be added this year too. The on line help file/wiki will be updated as well.
This 2080 has some new features. Do not panic : read the help , check the menu options.
One change of importance : you must use ! or $asm .. $end asm when including asm code.
If you have problems, you best write to support.
Wish those of you that celebrate Christmas a Merry Christmas, all others a Happy Season
(BASCOM-AVR version : 2080 , Latest : 2.0.7.8 ) _________________ Mark |

Wha! I never expected that 2080 would come before Xmas in this year 2016.
I waited so long...
What a beautifull present.
Than you very much, Mark
Merry Christmas to you and all Bascom users.
Edit: "Update" says: There are no components to update. Highest .lic is 2.0.7.9 There is no 2080 for me. |

If you download the 'Download full BASCOM-AVR', you will get version 2.0.8.0
In the registered section of the forum.
It will be a complete setup.exe like Mark stated.
Have fun

You are trying the 'updatewiz'-way. At the first message in this tread: "The files for the updatewiz will be added this year too" |

Ok, I finally succeeded. Downloaded the full bcavr.zip of 42.2 MB.
Because my Win10 has limited C: (that is SSD) I preferred to install on D:
It needs the bscavrl.dll, so I put a copy there by hand.
I had some misunderstanding about the offer to make a shortcut: I had no choice about C: or D:, and even no choice of Program Files or Program Files (x86). Just 'Programs'
The 'Programs' is the list of Programs in Win10 apps menu. Right clicking the icon shows location C:\MCS Electronics\BASCOM-AVR.
The real path is: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MCS Electronics\BASCOM-AVR
Clicking there I find nothing else then 5 shortcuts that all lead to D: .
The proposed shortcuts are not found on the desktop.
Although it is a little bit hidden, it simply works!

@Madf @Islabs2005
Above the .lic files list you find:
Actual available product versions
Actual version of BASCOM-AVR 2.0.7.8
Actual version of BASCOM-8051 2.0.16.0
Actual version of BASCOM 1.0.0.0
Download full BASCOM-AVR (this is misguiding: "Actual version of BASCOM-AVR 2.0.7.8", the Download in reality holds 2.0.8.0) |
