hello,
this Arduino/Genuino is based on a M32U4, with the usb controler and bootloader inside.
Actually Bascom does'nt support it as an ARDUINO

but

Bascom knows the M32U4, this board has an isp port (6pins) so you could use an ISP programmer as the AVRISP MKII

I add a memo (sorry in french but with a lot of pictures,) how to install the AVRISP Programmer (same for studio7)
let me know your progress.

JP
Bon courage

I have purchased a ISP programmer that should be compatible with STK500
Its called Olimex.

Is it possible to use this one?? Question

this is the description:

AVR-ISP500 is a fast and reliable USB AVR programmer, and works directly with AVR Studio. It is recognized as a STK500 programmer and programs all AVRs. It emulates USB CDC so no drivers are required and works under Windows, Linux and MacOS. If you do not want to use AVRStudio you can use AVR-ISP500 with AVRdude.

Features:
Connects to PC via USB 2.0 Full speed
USB Powered
Uses Atmel's 2x5 pin ICSP and 2x3 connector layout
Dimensions: 45x30 mm (1.7x1.2") + 20 cm (8") cable

I add a Picture of it.

hello,
if you use it to program others AVR you can use it use the classical way (spi pins and reset) to program the arduino micro. but this kind of programmer could erase the bootloader, I'm not the good person to speak about bootloader.
read that before all :
http://www.mcselec.com/index2.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=59&page=viewtopic&t=13061&highlight=olimex

and, in case of trouble , may be you can send a mail to support ?

that programmer should work with stk500 native programmer. but i did not test it myself as i do not have that programmer. when it implements sk500v2 it should work.

about the board : did you press reset just before you press F4 to upload?

Arduino Pro Micro can flash via USB.
Here the program Boot32u4.exe. http://bascomavr.3bb.ru/viewtopic.php?id=1529
This Russian forum. Use google translator.

This arduino module is well suited for tested USB devices using USB Add On or similar USB library.
