Hello
any news about the implementation of USB functions like HID and CDC ,VCOM.?
Now more AVR MEGA and XMEGA MCU support this device and it's very important for new and modern projects.
Best Regards

All AVR that support USB are supported by the USB add on. There are demos for HID and CDC already.
For Xmega : news will be reported on the mcselec home page. I can inform you that because of the low interest in the usb add on, the xmega variant (which is very different because a change in architecture) does not have a high priority. But usb add on customers will get the update for xmega when available. _________________ Mark |

Just showing my interest here for the Xmega USB support.
I have purchased the USB Add on.
Have project in final design stage, need to make determination of the USB support on the board.
Not pushing, but is there any update on this Mark?
TIA,
Mark |

Tossing my hat in the ring as well for Xmega usb. I've been using FTDI chips but really like the ATXmega384C with USB. I imagine some research of the data sheet and manually setting the registers you could make it work. I will experiment when my Xplan shows up.

It may need to update def-file. I don't found in xm384C3def.dat & xm256A3BUdef.dat USB Endpoint registers. |

it is not software usb. it is using the xmega usb hardware so it will only work with xmega that have usb.
it will be cdc for a virtual com only. i have not enough time to work out all other variants. _________________ Mark |

I am also intrested in usb support for the xmega.

Hello to all XmegaUSB freaks
Well, it would be realy nice and very usefull to have a xmega-usb add-on. I'm realy mising that in Bascom.
Hope, Mark will manage that too.
Best regards to all!
