Hi,
I think that AVR Atmega and Xmega controller have not enought ressources to play video
You must look for ARM controller. Unfortunately Bascom don't support the ARM's

Hello PeterM,
Have you use the FT800 with Bascom?
If yes, can you share a sample code?
How much cost the FT800?
Best regards

Bascom 2078 supports the FT800 which also includes many demo programs.
If you look in the Help File under:
ASM Libraries and Add-Ons
-LCD
--FT800
---Getting Started
It shows some links of where to find ready made FT800 boards for developing/testing. _________________ Peter |

I see that a number of changes were not copied when i copied and paste to the history file.
That is a pity since the FT800 took most of the time from Peter and MCS in 2078.
You will find many samples in the samples\FT800 folder and a lot of into in the help/wiki as well. _________________ Mark |

Hello,
I read interesting all these postings about FT800
and it is very good that Bascom suportte it.
But is possible to play a vídeo in a little Window
like 250x250 pixels, on a 800x480 7"TFT
and use and control the other free space of the
Display area, to load bmp's ?
Anyone idea if it possible this or only with Linux
and ARM controller?
Best regards

The FT800 maximum Pixel resolution is 512 x 512, the largest LCD I have
seen is 5" @ 480x272.
You can load images but not BMP's directly (you would have to convert the image or
translate the BMP yourself).
As for the Video Display, you would have decode the image frames to suit the FT800 display.
If you are familiar with the anatomy of the Video stream, then it would help a lot but I have not seen any sample code. _________________ Peter |

Hallo PeterM,
I remember to see in youtube a demonstration
of playing a vídeo with FT800 on a 5" TFT
I want use a 480x800 pixel 7" TFT to run a vídeo
on a little area 300x300 and use the other free space
to load during vídeo playing, other static images
Regards

BTW what kind of video source would be used with the FT800
Is it video from a Camera(web cam) or SD Card (like an AVI file) ? _________________ Peter |
