Dear Members,
I am using bascom 2.0.7.5 on windows xp home end a arduino_uno board, no problem.
Now i wanted to use a arduino_isp programmer ( not the uno ) to program the ATtiny's.
afther installing the driver ( libusb device ), i can't make it working, by chosing progammer end parameter settings.
Can someone explain to me what exactly ineed to set.
Thank you |

You have tree ways to program a µ-controler
1) with Arduino bootloader if you use some µ-controlers used by the modules Arduino AND compatible Bascom Mega328, Mega2560 to give the well knows.
The help is detailled in the first messages of this forum.
2) With a bootloader. But to put a bootloader as the bascom bootloader in the µP you have to use an ISP programmer ! or to buy µP with bootloader inside.
3 ) Without bootloader : with one of the programmers (and you have the choice !) compatible Bascom
But your question is, how said Mark, not for this forum. It is a general AVR question.
However, please give more detail to your question :

Which one ?
Bon courage

hello,
I tried the arduinoISP from the Arduino IDE 1.5.8, and it works properly. sketch programmed (bootloader eraised of uno), but burned back.
Actually I want to continue working with bascom.
Since the arduinoISP supported avrdude, I suppose it can work with bascom IDE.
In the programmer list i choose "external programmer", chip: attiny85,
Program: c: \ avrdude \ avrdude.exe, parameter: -C c: \ avrdude.conf p t85 -P
-com3 arduinoISP -c -b 115200 -U flash: w: {FILE} i
With regards

So it is working?
Well done. The tip has been published before, nice to have it in this Bascom-Arduino part of this forum.
Have fun

try it on the command line first. if that works, it should also work as external programmer.
or you mean it does not work when you select different programmers other than external ones? _________________ Mark |

Hope you are not including all those spaces in your commandline.
I have done a search in this forum about AVRDUDE and it comes up with a list of all possible solutions for your problem.
Try what Mark is suggesting, from the cmd line. And let us know.
Have fun
