Good day,
I updated Bascom AVR to version 2.0.7.7
There has an ‘error occurred’
So I want return to the predecessor version.
I made a backup, so it must be possible to do.
My question: HOW??
Thanks in advance,
greetings, Dré Jansen

Hi,Dre
Bascom have made an backup in the root of your C disk, something like BASCOM-AVR 2.0.7.6.zip
You can always download the lic file from the version you want to have from the Bascom register part. With this lic file the update wizard can download the version you want.
I never update the older version, i make always a new directory for every Bascom version. Then you can always use the version that you want. _________________ www.evertdekker.com Bascom code vault |

update problem solved!
Mark told me:
In users folder is an hidden folder named: appdata
In this folder is folder named: Roaming
In this roaming folder is a folder, named: MCS electronics
We are almost there where we want to go.
Delete the file named Bascom-avr.xml
Start Bascom in Administrator mode
Now you can update again
It worked for me, maybe also for you.

I gave instructions on how to remove the settings file. Normally this is done by clicking the link in help, about. but that requires a running program.
you can also find the folder using CMD window:
that would show all files from that folder:
dir "%userprofile%\appdata\roaming\mcs electronics"
that would delete the setting file.
del "%userprofile%\appdata\roaming\mcs electronics\bascom-avr.xml" _________________ Mark |
