Hi All
Does anyone have the firmware update .hex file for a usbasp programmer based in a Atmeag8a chip? I have upgraded my mates programmers, but they are based on a atmega8.

I thought they were a pretty handy tool so i brought a couple of my own. But when they arrived the manufacture had changed to a different chipset Sad

I have had a good troll threw Thomas Fischl website but found nothing. As anyone ported the source code to bascom??
http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/

Thanks in advance
Snow

Hello Snow

You can use bascom to get the code already in the chip and save it to file then try the mega8 firmware see if it works if not you can then use the file to write the old firmware back.

Hi Paul
Thanks for you reply. I have tried that but doesnt seem to work. The .hex file worked loading onto a ATmega8 Chip but onto on to a Atmega8a chip. Just wondering if someone has a usbasp programmer running on a Atmega8a chipset. If they could post me the .hex file off it. Or even better a Bascom project file Smile

Thanks
Snow
