Hello,

I'm trying to use Tina ind. 10 design suite to simulate the output of a project that was completed in Bascom.

I looked under "Compiler output options" and i can see some options there, but none for an lst file.

In Tina 10 I can simulate the mcu with the hex file as long as it loads the LST file also. Is it possible for Bascom to generate this file?

Thanks for any help,

Robert

(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.7.7 )

no there is no lst file. there is the OBJ file. Labcenter ISIS supports bascom's DBG format and the OBJ format(from atmel) as well.

Thank you for the timely response,

I did some further checking on this and found that Tina 10 is able to simulate a hex file but, it's another clone basic's hex file and needs the .lst file to do it. I can think of a few better names for it then that!!!

I did try another clone basic before I tried out bascom, It was a horrible program to use, and never worked right...

I'll be darned if I'm going to purchase that so I can simulate an MCU with a hex file written in micro-crap under Tina 10.

Looks like I just wasted a lot of cash on the wrong simulator program, ouch.

I'll see if they will give me a refund,

Thanks

ISIS is the best simulation program i know about.
you can also ask Tiny to add support for OBJ files. And i can giver them info for the DBG format. I still have coff files on the todo list. Is all they support lst? LST is not a real standard, it is a common name. and the content of the file can look different from compiler to compiler.

I did post in a topic at this said place, also contacted there support through email.
They offered a work around to me for the hex without the lst file. It does not work so great, but does function.

I also quoted your reply to them.

I'm hoping they will work with you to support the object files and DBG format. I really don't want to dish out 5K
for ISIS. hopefully they will play nice.

If not, I will just ditch them in favor of bascom, as at least your program works as intended. More than I can say
for their avr compiler!

If they don't, then it's their loss...
