Hi,
you could also use a microSD card formatted FAT32 and AVR-DOS. To use the microSD card
with a PC, just plug the card into a Micro SD-USB Adapter (see attached picture).
Best regards,

these are all feasible technical options, but the actual problem (that's where the TO gives the members a runaround in not mentioning it) is, that the one and most important factor was omitted: it has to be client-friendly.
If I remember right, there was a link from the TO, now seemingly removed by MOD (death from above ), which pointed to a beauty farm/clinic.
Which makes things clearer, as for such a purpose a memory stick or a smart card is client-friendly enough, while any other of the suggested solutions is not. Here it would have been responsibility of the TO to tell this frankly, which I do blame him for not doing it.

I apologize if I have not explained well ...
From the Project Agreements should I use a pen drive as a support ...
I want to test the example that we talked about:
http://www.mcselec.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=279&Itemid=57
I took all the components and designed the circuit ...
I have a small question ...
how should I set the programmer to set the value of the external clock of the micro 16Mhz??
Use AVRDUDESS v.1.2 programmer with AVR ISP mk II ... for example when I use an ATmega32 with quartz 4MHz imposed the fuses: L = H = 0xD9 0xEA and everything is ok ...
but with this new micro (ATMEGA644P clocked at 16MHz) can not seem to find the right settings and the program I part???
Thank you all. |

According to the Atmel datasheet for AtMega644P, you should use CKSEL = 0111 for external crystal in full swing mode. There is no specific setting for 16 MHz, but that should work from 8-20MHz at Vcc = 5 volts. _________________ Adrian Jansen

I tried with "FULL SWING OSCILLATOR; START-UP TIME 16KCK+0ms; CRYSTAL OSC: BOD ENABLE; CKSEL = 0111 SUT = 01" and AVRDUDESS works!
a couple of questions ...
- Why, if I want to program directly by BASCOM can not identify the microprocessor??
- I seem slow start the program ... is this normal? |

Quote: | Print # 1, "RD todo.txt" + Chr (13); |
resolved by deleting the ""

I solved by disabling: "Divide clock by 8 internally; [CKDIV8=0]"
Quote: | - Why, if I want to program directly by BASCOM can not identify the microprocessor?? |
this problem still remains a mystery ... |

- you should read the actual help you get.
- you change the topic right in the thread to a new one ? This is not the 'help me with all my problems' topic.
- you do not give good info, how you do you think you will get help? _________________ Mark |
