|
|
Good morning Everyone,
I am new in this Forum, so hopefully someone is aible to help.
My idea is to connect the "Roving Networks RN41" Bluetooth module with a ATmega128 controller. I will need that Bluetooth connection for diffrent applications. But I don't have the understanding for the basics...
Is someone in this forum who can describe the basics? How important is it to have the "service class" or "device class"? What will the Bluetooth controller do if this both classes will be defined? I read somethings about "services". What will this services do?
What will be needed if I like to connect one other Bluetooth device? What will the receiver do?
If someone will have a short desription that will be very helpful for me...
Thanks a lot!!!!

Hi Benny,
you can search for BT-222 Modul. There are a few projects in Bascom!
also have a look at Ben's Hobbycorner site!

in the German Bascom Board http://bascomforum.de/ is stuff too, but today and maybe tomorrow closed, because of moving

Hi Benny,
This Circuit Cellar Article discusses connecting a BT GPS to a BT module tied to a microcontroller. While not Bascom, and not an AVR, it does explain several of the basic concepts.

Hello,
so now I have understand that I have to program the BT device by ASCII commands. After programming I will leave the command mode and can send the infomations via Bluetooth.
But I will send the informations to a selected MAC adress. The MAC adress should be called by a menue. So during the communication I'd like to change the adress. How should I do that. Do I have to reset the module and should I change into the command mode?
What do you think?
Thanks a lot!! |

Is someone in this forum who can tell, how important it should be to use the rigth service- and device- classes?
It is realy confusing to find the service-class and device-class for that application.
Thanks a lot. |
